Booking system FAQs

How do I make a new account?

Making an account with our booking system

If you’ve never made a booking with us before, when you click on the schedule, or on the little green + button, you will begin the booking process.

Once you fill the required fields in, have accepted the T’s and C’s and have selected a booking slot which is available, pressing CONFIRM will confirm your booking.

As we take card details, you may need to authenticate your booking with using online banking.

You will then receive two emails – the first will ask you to CONFIRM YOUR NEW ACCOUNT, and will prompt you to set your password to enable you to manage your account. The second email will contain all the details of the booking you have just made.

Once you are finished this step – your account will be verified and ready to use. You may now log in using your email address and password. You can book either on this page – or by heading directly to our live booking system here: bit.ly/booktheinc

Am I charged when I make a booking?

Sound Inc does not charge in advance for any bookings.
You can make as many bookings as you like, as far in advance as you like and no money will leave your account.

We only take bank details so we may charge customers’ cards in the event of a cancellation or no show. This process is described in our terms and conditions.

If you make a booking which starts within 48 hours of time of booking, your rehearsal will automatically be classed as “locked in” and will thus be chargeable should you decide to cancel. The booking system will warn you of this before you confirm your booking.

What is the cancellation policy?

48 hour cancellation policy

We have a 48 hour cancellation policy in place to make sure you have the best chance of being able to get booked in. The policy also protects Sound Inc against no shows and late cancellations. Our cancellation policy can be found here: https://www.soundinc.co.uk/terms-and-conditions/

You can shorten, change the date of, or cancel your booking entirely at any point before the 48 hour period prior to your booking as many times as you like.

Locking In

Once you’re within our 48 hour cancellation period, your booking will automatically “Lock In” on our booking system and you’ll be unable to make any further changes to it.

If you make a booking that starts within 48 hours of the time you book it, your booking will lock in as soon as it is placed.

If a booking is locked in, unattended and we don’t hear from you, your debit / credit card on file will be charged in full at time your booking was due to finish.

The Good News

It’s still always a good idea to get in touch with us if your booking locks in and you can’t attend – there are two things we can do to minimise your fees, and they happen more often than you might think.

1. The first thing we’ll do, is clear the space in our calendar to allow other customers to book over your cancellation. Your fee will be waived for any of your cancellation which is booked over by another customer. (e.g. You can’t make your 19:00 – 22:00, but a customer books 20:00 – 23:00 last minute. You are then only liable for 19:00 – 20:00)

2. Sound Inc can also, in some cases, allow you to change your booking to a different time on the same day. This depends on several factors like staff and studio availability – but as they say, shy bairns get nowt!

If you have any further questions on cancellation, please get in touch with our staff team.

Pass on the good karma!

Bringing your own equipment

Rehearsal Studios – Bringing your own equipment

You are more than welcome to bring your own equipment, provided that anything that required PAT testing has a PAT testing certificate less than 12 months old. By bringing your own equipment to the Sound Inc premises, staff will assume that the given equipment has a valid PAT test certificate.

There is no reduction in studio fees for bringing your own equipment, but you may save yourself from having to hire extras from our hire stock!
